![]() I feel this is starting to apply unesseccary pressure on others on the platform that have the dream of being accepted into the partner programme. So, I want to preface this with the disclaimer that I love the site and I don't want to call anyone out specifically and if you've done this, I'm sorry, but please don't announce your hours watched in a public place. Controlled self-promotion community night. If someone's channel I go into knows I stream and they mention it, I'll thank them and that's it. I personally try to avoid promoting myself where I can. Now, I know I've posted on Reddit about a community night I wish to host every Monday, but this is my attempt at getting everyone to stop self-promoting in channels and Discord and to do it in a moderated space, following a set of guidelines. Self-promotion is also something that is starting to rear it's head. We've seen what can happen with abusable sytems on Twitch with the drops and Valorant, imagine what that would've been like if there was a true monetary incentive. Don't get me wrong, this isn't to do with me being salty about people making money or anything like that, at the time of writing this, I'm not far from it myself, but I think going forward, any monetary events like this need to be looked into to make sure they can't be abused. I know this was addressed by the team that anyone doing F4F (Follow 4 Follow) to achieve this would be ineligable, but it's an highly abusable system. I think the first bad thing I can say about Trovo is the $100 for 100 follower event. Frame drops were an issue I've had on Twitch with their capped bitrates and Mixer, especially when using FTL. Right, I know, it's a streaming platform, you expect the connection to work, but considering this is the first platform I've used where I've been able to increase my bitrate (now at 10,000) and still not drop a single frame during any of the streams I've done is mind-blowing. The stability is like no other platform I've been on. ![]()
